Privacy policy

Cobo Makes Games · Last updated 20 October 2026

Short version. We, the developer, do not sell any data and never ask for your name, email or an account. Your first Daily Run of each day puts your score on an online board under a generated shop name. The phone versions show optional video ads through Google AdMob, and only when you choose to watch one; Google collects some device data to show those ads. The desktop versions have no ads.

Who we are

Pestle Panic is a single-player game made by Cobo Makes Games.

Your game saves

Your progress (stars, unlocks, wins, best scores, settings and your run in progress) is stored in the game's private storage on your device. We cannot read it. On Android, if backup is turned on, Android may include the save in the backup of your apps in your own Google account, under Google's privacy policy; we never receive it. Uninstalling the game deletes its saves from the device.

The Daily Run board (all versions)

When your first Daily Run of a day ends, the game sends its result to the game's online board so you can compare it with other players. The board is run on Talo, a game backend service that stores it for us. The game sends: a random code the game made up for your copy of the game (not linked to your name, email, device ID or any account), the shop name the game generated from that code (such as "Sleepy Newt"; you never type a name), your score (gold earned), days survived, whether you won, the date and the game version. Like any website, Talo's servers also see your IP address when the game connects; we do not use it to identify you. Everyone who opens the board can see the shop names and scores on it. There is no account and no sign-in. Results that cannot be sent wait on your device and are sent later. To have your board results deleted, email us your shop name (shown on the board screen) and we will remove them. Uninstalling the game gives a new copy a new code and name.

Ads (iPhone, iPad and Android only)

The game never shows ads during play and never forces you to watch one. When your shop is evicted, or when a run ends, you can choose to watch a video ad for a reward (one more day, or double stars). These ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google's software in the game may collect and process:

This data goes directly to Google, not to us. Google uses it as described in its policy on how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Your choices about ads

Permissions

On Android the game itself uses internet access (for the Daily Run board) and vibration (for haptic feedback, which you can turn off in the game's settings). Google's ad software adds network-state access, the advertising ID, and background-task permissions it needs to deliver ads; none of these shows a permission prompt. The game never asks for your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files.

Children

Pestle Panic is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date.
